 MAS 90/200

Sage MAS 90 and 200 Version 3.71 Retirement

Initially introduced in November of 2002, Sage MAS 90 and 200 3.71 has enjoyed an unprecedented era in the world of software. We want to take the opportunity to acknowledge its lengthy and excellent service to thousands of our customers and partners and to announce the official retirement of Sage MAS 90 and 200 3.71.

Our policy is to support the current shipping release, as well as the prior release of Sage MAS 90 and 200. We extended that policy to additional versions to better support our customers as they upgraded to the 4.x series. A recent evaluation of support call volume indicates that the end of next calendar year is the appropriate time to retire 3.71. Support will continue for all subsequent versions, including Sage MAS 200 SQL 3.72 and 3.73.

Important Dates to Note

  • December 2007 – Customers will receive the final 3.71 Year-End Tax Table updates in December 2007, and any mandated year-end changes to Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Electronic Reporting (formerly known as Magnetic Media Reporting) for calendar year 2008 processing.
  • December 2008 - Telephone Support will continue for version 3.71 through the end of December 2008

This transition schedule allows you 18 months to upgrade to Sage MAS 90 or 200 version 4.2 and provides you ample opportunity to begin upgrade discussions.

Enhancements throughout Sage MAS 90 and 200 4.2 make data entry and navigation more natural and intuitive. New inquiry tools and reporting capabilities make analysis and decision-making more straightforward. Sage MAS 90 and 200 4.2 turns data into actionable knowledge, and works the way you do. Call today to make the move to 4.2!

Peachtree

A great feature of Peachtree 2008 is the Broadcasting Invoices option

If you bill the same invoice to multiple customers and have customers that are billed in many different billing cycles, you probably hate creating and saving each invoice individually, in every billing cycle. It's particularly frustrating if you bill different customers in different billing categories on different days of the month.
But with the new Broadcast Invoices option included with any Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting 208 product, you can save time by creating one sales invoice and applying it to multiple customers.

Here's How:
  • Create an invoice just as you do today, but leave the Customer ID field blank
  • Click the Broadcast button in the toolbar
  • Select the customers you want to broadcast the invoice to, for example by Customer ID, Customer Name, Type, Zip Code, Custom Fields and more...
  • Review your final list of customers to broadcast the invoice and select whether the invoices should be printed, emailed or both.

You're done!

Tips & Tricks

What does "IP" stand for?

IP stands for "Internet Protocol. You'll often see it paired with TCP, "Transmission Control Protocol." Together, TCP/IP allow two different computers to talk back and forth over the internet.

Every computer and server (email servers, IP hosts) has an IP address. The IP address acts like a return postal address stamped on packets of data that your computer sends through the internet.

IP addresses are made of four numbers separated by periods, for example, 70.43.11.128. This stamp on data sent through the net tells receiving computers what country, service provider, host, and computer sent the info.

1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
1Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
3 cups sliced fresh peaches

For filling, in a medium saucepan stir together brown sugar and cornstarch; stir in water. Add peaches and blueberries. Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and bubbly. Add 1 tablespoon butter and lemon juice; stir till butter melts. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart ungreased casserole. Spoon toping in mounds over hot filling; spread evenly over filling.
